Description:
Here's a fine Remington model 11-48. This little guy is a pretty high class Remington.
He was built in 1964 , is .410 gauge, has 26 inch SKEET barrel, Vent Rib, hand cut
checkering, and is in very fine condition. There's a few handling marks in the varnish but not into the
very nice Walnut wood. The bore is excellent and it operates as you would expect
and is smooth as silk.
The 11-48 was the first shotgun Remington introduced following the end of WW 2 .
It is a lighter more streamlined version of the older model 11.
This is a very nice gun, not a NIB but excellent, as I described above. The 11-48 is getting hard to find
in any kind of condition, the .410 gauge is even much harder!
This one has the weighted magazine cap, makes it feel more like a 20 or 16 gauge slowing the swing
slightly. Very simple to put the standard magazine cap back on if you prefer.
Bottom line, This a very hard to find excellent gun.
