On Hold Sale Pending US model 1884 Springfield 45-70 caliber trapdoor ramrod bayonet army rifle. In very good plus condition with a very good bore. Full length 2 band dark walnut stock in very good condition with a few handling dents and a crack extending from the left screw forward (see photo). Both cartouche present and sharp. The full length barrel holds most of its original finish starting to thin. Buffington rear site and blade front sight. The breach block is tight and the tang and block retain good case color. The lock is marked US Springfield with the American eagle and retains most of its original blue finish and works fine. The but plate is the correct plate marked US. The bands, trigger guard and ramrod bayonet are correct and hold most of there original Finnish as well. All marks appear original and correct. The sling is a nice repro. The bore looks very good as well. Shipping will be actual cost approximately 50.00 in the lower 48. Overall a very nice old Springfield that hasn't been messed with.
