Description:
This revolver started life as a British service revolver, as seen by the Matt Blue finish and the upward arrow proof mark as well as the landyard ring.  The serial number indicates it was made in 1916.  At some point it was converted to fire 45colt and 45acp, (not sure of the original british cal.)  I bought this gun in 2000, shot it alot, and had alot of fun with it for about ten years, but things change. Before listing , I'd fired 6 rds at 25 yds.  ( 3-45 acp, 3-45 colt).  I hadn't shot at a target in years, I knew I jerked the first and last shots, anyway hear's the results 4 rds in a 3" circle, the 5th rd made that 6", and the 6th put it at 7".  Some very minor pitting in barrel, but the rifling is strong.  The. Grips are not original, they look like maple.( I am not familiar with birdseye maple, but this is what I think it might look like.)  This is a 105 year old revolver, it is not perfect, but it is a peice of history and it functions and fires reliably.
