In my 50+ years full time in the firearms business I've handled quite a few reproduction firearms but I think this set of .41 Caliber Henry Deringer Pistols Factory Engraved with Gold and cased in a French fitted book casing is the nicest we've ever encountered. Manufactured by my old friend (now deceased) Aldo Uberti for the US Historical Society in 1978 - I believe there were less than 100 of these super deluxe engraved gold sets made. This one is number 40. There were also 1000 silver sets made. Had these guns been manufactured by the original Henry Deringer company they would have been the finest they ever produced. In 1978 The Jackson Armory was selling these first hundred gold sets for $3,000. No C&R or FFL required to purchase, just proof of age and not live in a communist area like New York City where posession of replical percussion firearms is prohibited.
