Payment Types Accepted: paypal, postal MO Description: This offering is for an excellent, possibly never re-issued post WWII rebuid of a double heat-treated MK I '03. This example appears to have been re-arsenalled at the Springfield Amory circa 1946 to 1955. It comes with an excellent, post WWIIsling that appears to be marked MRT Jan 1955. The sling stamping is indistinct but I have included a close-up for your inspection. This rifle is complete and fully functional and the headspacing has been checked. The bore is bright and sharp and guages under .310, indicating very light use. There is a nice cosmoline patina on the metal surfaces and the scant stock and handguard appear to be unsanded. I would describe this rifle as being a very nice, entry-level collector that would probably make a fine range rifle. Please be advised that shooter safety is the sole responsibility of the buyer and that no warranty is available on any previously owned firearm. The buyer is strongly urged to have this item checked for safety and proper function by a licensed gunsmith prior to firing.
