Description:
***   SOLD   ***   HOT PRICE   ***   Sturdy and handsome W.J. Jeffrey boxlock non-ejector pigeon gun with 32” nitro steel barrels with their original factory 3” chambers. Profusely and beautifully engraved scalloped action with side clips for strength. This “Between the Wars” gun, number 25333, was made circa 1930 and would be ideal for flyers, waterfowl, and clays. Overall weight is 8lb 2oz.   ***   The 32” nitro steel barrels are factory chambered and proofed for 3” cartridges and are topped by a raised solid wide crosshatched pigeon style rib. They are nitro proofed for 1-1/2 oz with the original 3” chambers. Bluing is excellent and the bores are shiny. The right barrel is inscribed “W.J. Jeffrey & Co. Ltd”. The left barrel is inscribed “9. Golden Square. Regent Street. London. WI”. The right barrel is bored 0.733 with a constriction of 0.005 for Light Improved Cylinder choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.034. The left barrel is bored 0.732 and has a constriction of 0.034 for Full choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.034.   ***   The sturdy pistol grip stock and splinter forearm are made of nicely figured European walnut. Checkering is crisp. There are some minor handling marks from normal usage. Stock dimensions are 14-5/8” over a 1/2” leather pad by 1-1/2” by 2”. Cast off for the right handed shot.   ***   This is a highly engraved and great handling double at a “below market” price. You won’t find a quality British boxlock at a price like this. Better move on it before it gets away!   ***   I am an FFL and will need a signed copy of your dealer’s FFL license. Not for sale where prohibited by state or local laws. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection period and will only accept returns at buyer’s expense.
