<<<SOLD>>>>>> An unusual Remington Rolling block rifle with a 26" barrel and dovetail front sight, and long range rear sight. The bore of this .50 cal. has a super, super clean shiny rifled bore. I assume thayt the caliber is .50-70 as the hammer has a very high spur common on military contract U.S. rifles.Metal is in the white without pitting . Middle band has the letter B. Action works good and the kicker is the America walnut Remington made buttstock has two military proofs , one on eacch side . The butt-stock is rare in that respect! Top of the iron butt-plate spur has the letter R and in front of the spur numbered into the stock is a rack number 45. I understand that these were later taken out of commission and sold as prison guard guns also. The walnut forend appears to have the cleaning rod channel filled long ago, possibly from a modified rifle? Still very rare.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.
