Here's a rare piece of heavy ordinance that few ammo collections have in it. It's an M-1A1 "Abrams Tank: 120 m/m "Heavy Penetrator" projectile complete with fins for stability. This round was recoverable and used for training tank crews. It is two feet long and 6 and a half inches in diameter and weighs 25 pounds. It was purchased from the Estate of USN ordinance scientist at China Lake Naval Testing Station in California. Very Few of these rounds have found their way into civilian hands but you can own this one! The U.S.Army paid many times our sales price for this piece of ordinance.
