#4973 Colt S/A 7-1/2”x45COLT, 57XXX range (1880) w/very good+ bore, about a 7+ to an 8 on a scale of 10 and having a tight smooth action with all the clicks on the hammer. The metal is basically smooth with just some very light scattered pitting around the patent date lines on the lower left side of the frame. The remainder is just a thin a grey-brown patina (more grayish on the frame) and VG+ standard original wood grips with very light wear overall and a very small “flea bite” on the toe of the right grip. Interesting and not often seen, “Monday morning” factory error reversed barrel address. Correct Bulls-Eye ejector head, matching numbers including barrel and cylinder. Above average for a Single Action that is usually found priced in this same price range ….but suffice to say this (…and this is a VERY important fact!!)…that since many, if not most Single Actions have been restored, enhanced, and/or “juiced-up” to some degree, one should always take the possibility of some degree of restoration into consideration. This gun has been valued and priced with that possibility in mind VG++ $3475
