It is mechanically perfect with 99 % beautiful case colors on the frame, top tang and the forend iron. It has been used very little and as a result it is solid and tight. The pictures show the wood with almost all of its finish with nice grain and sharp checkering. The 28" barrels are richly blued and it locks up tight with mirror bores. The right barrel is choked IC and left is choked modified for the near perfect bird gun. The barrels have their full factory wall thickness with 20 gauge 2-3/4" chambers. It has nearly flawless rust blue, but there are a few little dots of rust that will probably come off with some oil and a little rubbing. The rib matting and lettering are very crisp, sharp and new looking. The length of pull is 14" to the horizontally serrated factory black butt plate. The drops are 1-1/2" at the comb and 2-3/4" at the heel. Best of all the gun weighs 6 pounds 2 ounces and balances just behind the hinge pin for quick and responsive mounting. This gun handles wonderfully! Rarely do you see a gun 87 years old this nice and clean. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
