Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: This is a beautiful all-original, unfired, and mint condition Smith & Wesson Model 4006 Stainless Pistol in .40 S&W complete with the original box, paperwork, and extra magazine.  Bought new by the original owner in 1995, this Model 4006 was put up into storage until now, never once carried or fired.  The Smith & Wesson Model 4006 was introduced in 1990 as the firm's full-size stainless steel .40 S&W semi-auto pistol designed to handle everything from target shooting to police or military service.  The DA/SA semi-automatic Model 4006 featured matte stainless steel construction, a 4" inch barrel, a checkered front grip strap and triggerguard, an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/de-cocking lever, an exposed and lightened (for faster lock time) full-spur hammer, a 11-round double stack magazine, drift adjustable combat style sights, and a 1-piece black Delrin checkered grip.  Adjustable sights, night sights, and a bobbed hammer were special order options available.  The Model 4006 proved to be yet another excellent pistol design from S&W and remained in production for 9 years until 1999.  The 4006 was very well-made, reliable, powerful, accurate, and had great ergonomics for the time.  This particular example is serial number VCB3240 and as mentioned before, was made in 1995.  It has all the standard features plus special order factory night sights.  It is in pristine condition and is unfired since leaving the factory.  As you can see from the pictures, it looks like it shipped from Smith & Wesson earlier this week rather than 26 years ago.  The stainless steel is pristine and flawless rating 99% plus, showing no scratches, dings, dents, marring, or wear of any kind.  All of the factory markings are deep, crisp, and clean.  The checkering on the front grip strap and triggerguard is sharp and perfect, and the matte blue factory finish on the sights, trigger, and hammer looks brand-new and rates 100%.  The bore is mirror-bright and flawless, with perfect rifling and no visible imperfections whatsoever.  The factory Delrin 1-piece grip is also perfect with no scratches, dings, dents, cracks, chips, or repairs.  The checkering on both sides of the grip is crisp and sharp, and the grip is perfectly fit to the grip frame with no wiggle.  The action on this Smith is still like-new and tight, with a superb frame-to-slide fit.  At full lock the barrel lock-up is perfect with no felt play.  All of the controls on this pistol are in perfect working order and feel like-new and tight.  The factory trigger is very good with a consistent pull that doesn't stack up too much in double-action operation, and a nice two-stage pull in single-action operation that breaks cleanly without any grit.  This S&W Model 4006 should function perfectly just like the day it left the factory in 1995.  The original box, factory end-label (serial numbered to this gun), cardboard insert, owner's manual, pamphlets, anti-rust shipping paper, and extra magazine are all in excellent condition consistent with the pistol.  If you have been looking for a minty, unfired, and all-original S&W Model 4006 to put up in your collection this is it.  It would be impossible to upgrade from this beauty in any respect!  With these 2nd Generation S&W automatics going up in price almost every month, this should be a superb long-term investment.      SOLD Handgun Caliber: .40 Smith & Wesson (.40 Auto, 10 x 21 mm) Manufacturer: Smith & Wesson Model: 4006 Serial Number: VCB3240 Barrel Length: 4" Inches Condition: Mint Metal Condition: Mint Bore Condition: Mint Action: Semi-Auto (DA/SA) Sights: Factory Night Sights Manufacture Date: 1995 Extras: Original Box, Manuals, Etc.
