Payment Types Accepted: USPS Money Order, Cashier's check Description: PRICE LOWERED. This is a USMC rifle with Navy Crane markings. Originally purchased on 20 Januarry 2003 from the CMP, the COA had a typo in the serial number. It has been corrected by the CMP with an additional COA with the correct serial number. Additionally, I have completed a Garand Collectors Association data sheet listing all the particulars of this rifle. This rifle also fits into the 1955 enigma in that there are many documented 1955 receivers with 2-53 barrels. The rifle was also reparkerized so it looks outstanding. The barrel breach is not in the white which is another clue that Crane did the rebuild. The rifle has the 0-66 etching on the porch above the serial number indicating the rebuild was done in 1966 then I assume the rifle went into storeage in around 1970 while the Army and Marines were phasing in the M-14. USMC rifles are documented by the Navy Crane etchings which included 0-65, 0-66 and 0-67. The barrel has a TE of 2 and a bright bore dated Feb 53 and original to the rifle. These rifles are not rare but rarely come up for sale. I'll take $1850 shipped and insured to the lower 48. I am a C&R FFL holder so make sure your FFL will do the transfer.
