This is a very rare civil war carbine in excellent condition. "U.S." stamped on the top edge of the buttstock. 18" blued barrel. Patch box. Original sling swivel. Original sights. Excellent wood. 80% blueing in the barrels. Only 200 of these carbines are thought to have survived. This carbine utilized the newly adopted Maynard patent tape priming mechanism. The Greene carbine is one of the rarest civil war carbines for the advanced collector. The gun is in excellent condition and is 100% complete, correct, and has the desirable "U.S." stamped in the buttstock..
