Description:
Very few of these were produced between approx 1968 and 1972. With respect to condition this gun is over 95% with only the most insignificant of evidence of handling. It is beautifully checkered. While some of these were factory checkered we belive that this one did not leave the factory as a checkered finger groove. The serial number falls a little outside of the range for the few checkered guns and the checkering pattern while beautiful is a little different than any factory checkered Finger Grooves we are aware of. Although we are not representing this as such it is possible that this was an employee gun that was done for an employee (as sometimes especially nice wood might be picked out for employees ...by many Winchester , Colt and Ruger as well as others.
