.50-70, NVSN, 40 inch barrel, blue block, block hinge and sight, remainder "in the white", walnut stock, faint cartouches, original sights, lock plate marked "1864" behind hammer, eagle over "U.S./Springfield", with bayonet, circa 1866-1867.
Condition: bright strong bore, metal parts smooth silver, wood has been gently cleaned, hair line crack at front lock screw, excellent mechanically, excellent marks.
