.54 caliber, 33" round barre finished in lacquer brown. Casehardened breechloading action with external hammer. Brass mounts. Walnut stock bearing the U.S. inspector's cartouche on the left stock flat oposite the lock. One only 770 purchased by the U.S. Gvmt. In superb original condition with the barrel retaining most of it's original brown lacquer finish. vivid case colors remaining on most of the lock, breech assembly and receiver. Excellent wood and cartouche. Beautiful mellow brass. Excellent bright bore. Very scarce.
