This is an exceptional and investment quality true pair of Colt Model 1849 Pocket revolvers. This set is as real deal as they come, these examples have 1 serial number between one another. The case and accessories that these 2 revolvers are housed in, is a genuine original double casing, all accessories are very fine to exceptional condition. The 2 Colts follow closely behind in condition. Serial number #102805 shows virtually all of its original blue finish on the barrel. Some original blue on the cylinder with a fine scene. Silvered patterns of the case hardened finish are visible with stronger patterns showing through. Very deluxe factory engraving done by the hand of the Master Gustave Young with a script "Saml Colt" barrel address. Serial number #102803 also presents some very deluxe factory engraving by Gustave Young. It also features the script "Saml Colt" barrel address. The gun itself shows most of the original barrel blue. The frame shows silvered patterns of the case hardened finish with more vibrant areas also. The cylinder also shows traces of barrel blue. The mechanics on both of the revolvers functions excellent. Both pistols nearly match identical in condition. They are a fantastic true pair of Factory Engraved Colt 1849 revolvers. This pair, when the market was strong brought a lot more money at then I have them priced at. (Nearly double). These have been apart of 2 exceptional collections, although I have to keep the names confidential, the buyer will be supplied by the collectors names. All reasonable offers are considered!
