This is an excellent example of the Colt Model 1878 Double Action Revolver, this example is in the caliber .45 Colt. Overall the condition shows 85% original blue. This Colt, the photos truly don't show how nice this gun is. The blue on the cylinder is fading. The backstrap shows a fading blue to patina finish. The trigger still shows nitre blue. The screw heads are excellent and shows original finish. The grips are very fine condition. Mechanically appears to function well in single and double action. The cylinder has some normal side to side wobble as found on these models because of how fragile the internals are. Manufactured in 1891. Shipping is $25 plus actual insurance.
