A super high quality firing flintlock English Sea Service called New Service and issued 1805 for the Napoleonic Wars. Overall length is about 15 1/2", with a 9" round barrel, with a .65 smooth bore, that is excellent condition.The action is very good, and the flint showers generous sparks on the frizzen. The exterior metal is arsenal blued. The hardwood stock with a clean finish is excellent. Brass furniture is high polish. Correct lock-plate English markings. A spring mounted captured ram-rod . Overall a very respectiable shooting fintlock pistol of Historic Associaton.A newer made quality flintlock shooter. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
