Description:
Up for your consideration is a rare beautiful Sako Bofors marked L61R made in early 1963. It has no import marks and is now 58 years old. There were only 2 runs of the 264 Win Mag the first Dec 61 thru May (or so 1963). The old Sako Collectors Club only reported 2 of these rifles using original hang tags and only a few thousand or less were made(nobody actually knows). I purchased this rifle from a friend who was the original owner. We both have taken very good care of this rifle. I have shot several whitetail deer with it and it is a sub MOA shooter. The checkering is all sharp and crisp and the recoil pad is in near prefect condition as I always stored the rifle barrel down in the safe. The original Sako rings are in excellent shape as well. Back in the early 60's these rifles were hand made and the quality shows. The bore is mirror like as well. Buy it now for $2100 delivered to your FFL....... face to face in KC and Northern MO.
