The Hi-Power is one of the most widely used military pistols of over 50 countries and remains one of the most influential pistols in the history of small arms. Fabrique Nationale (FN) of Herstal, Belgium commissioned John Browning to design a new military sidearm conforming to a series of specifications for the Grand Rendement (French for "high yield"), or alternatively Grande Puissance (literally "high power"). The design was later completed by Dieudonné Saive at FN. The Hi-Power was first used by the Belgium for military service in 1935.

This FN Hi-Power, built around 1941, is a single-action, semi-automatic in the 9mm caliber. It holds a 98% Factory Blue and features a curved rear grip strap, a barrel bushing, fixed notch rear, blade front sight, unique faux mother-of-pearl. This gun comes with two 13 round capacity magazines and original holster with matching serial number.
