EXCELLENT WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 LEVER ACTION .405 W.C.F. CAL. RIFLE CIRCA 1904. 24” round barrel with original front and rear factory sights. Receiver with original rear tap hole for the special order Winchester Model 1895 side mounted receiver sight. Original steel shotgun butt plate. 100% original and in beautiful condition with excellent plus bore. 95% original blue and most of the original finish on the wood with very light handling patina. Perfect tight working order. Winchester factory records list it as a shotgun butt .405 cal. Model 1895 shipped from the warehouse September 23, 1904. One of the nicest standard grade Model 1895’s in the desirable .405 W.C.F. caliber we have had. Teddy Roosevelt’s “Big Stick”.
