A seldom offered Riflemans pouch for the U.S. Military 1830's- 1850's. one of the rarest accoutraments to find. This one is gorgeous. Has a 1838 Ames powder flask attached. Spring functions perfect. Has WS inspection mark on body. Leather pouch is very fine and very pliable. The leather closing tab is broke, but an easy fix with the right person. (I know the best, Jim Brown). Interior of pouch has correct white buff divider. Toned color now. The full length carrying strap , that is divided for both pouch and flask, is super supple. All original hooks and keepers are present. Upper part of strap has two holes that must have been for a soldier applied breast plate. This is one super Riflemans Pouch that would go with an 1817 Common Rifle, 1819 Hall Rifle, or 1841 Mississippi Rifle in your collection. Very seldom seen accoutrament.
