<<<<SOLD>>>Many 12ga double hammer percussion 12ga shotguns found were used in the Civil War mostly by the Confeferacy , calvary use and guard duty as a multi-purpose gun. This H.&J.W. KING with chisel engraved lock-plates with name and game scenes, works well and both hammers are matched. Left nippleis complete and looks good and the right nipple is mashed . Guns over 100 years bot sold as shooters. The exterior metal is greyish woth the barrel having areas of oxidation, patches. Come with a hardwood ram-rod with a abaig brass tip The wrist area , with wekest part of the shorgun had a break wand was repaired solidly long ago and has had rwo long iron stips with several screws. This is surprisingly very solid. The LOP is about 14". The 32" long barrel chokes are right tube: IC and the lefr tube is also IC.Top of barrel states FINE LONDON TWIST.. A very colorful gun that looks lkke it could tell some stories. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
