This Winchester was produced in April of 1945. The rifle's serial number is 1615968. The original Winchester barrel is in very fine condition. The bore is bright with sharp lands. All of the parts appear to be correct for this rifle and series range. This garand shows very little service use and wear. This rifle retains all of the original finish on the metal surfaces. The stock also retain all of the original finish. The stock has the correct WRA-GHD In a box stamp with the ordnance wheel placed above the trigger guard. There is no arsenal rebuild stamps or rework proofs on this stock. The wood is in very fine condition with no cracks or damage. The front sight is Winchester. The rear sight has the correct lock bar sight. The trigger housing has the correct Winchester parts for this serial number range. The operating rod is an uncut Winchester coded rod. This rifle has the correct gas pitson nut and long fork for grenade launching ability. The sling is a correct World War 2 sling dated 1944. The bolt is also Winchester coded. This is a very fine original condition Win 13 Garand! These Winchester Garands are very hard to find in original condition! To find one as complete and as nice of condition as this one is is a real find for the collector! This rifle will be a prized example of the World War 2 Garands.
