Pretty certian it has been refinished way back in the day. Who ever did it did a fantastic job all around, from the bluing to the case coloring and internals all look super nice. Crisp edges all around. The only sign is the script is light, other wise its fabulous and very well taken care of. Please see pictures. Also it was drilled for a scope. Mounts are here and are tip off mounts, just no scope. Bore is very nice with a bright shine and good rifling. Wood looks great with no cracks or damage. Blue does show some light wear around edges. Case coloring looks incredible but pictures really didnt bring it out. This also has the optional Marble rear sight. Barrel lenght is 26" and is an octagon. Crecent butt plate. Have owned this for a while and is time to let it go. It will make a great addition to any collection and or a great vintage rifle for shooting.
