Description:
General Specs: DWM, Year c. 1920, 7.65/.30 Luger, 30.8oz
Serial Number: 80856

The Luger is well known from its wide use by Germany during World War I and World War II, along with the interwar Weimar Republic and the postwar East German Volkspolizei. In the U.S., Model 1908 or P08 pistols in 7.65 Parabellum caliber or .30 Luger were first imported by Georg Luger and then by DWM.

From 1919 on, DWM rebuilt P08 frames with new parts or existing parts into complete pistols for sales to the civilian and export markets. The new component parts were stamped with serial numbers to match the frame to ensure that all the fitted parts stayed together.

This Luger P08 is 96% Blue, has strong nitre blue and straw finishes and a perfect bore. It features a 3 7/8" barrel, a lug attached to the heel of the pistol frame for attachment of a shoulder stock, one 8 round magazine with wood button, and the distinctive Luger toggle-lock mechanism.
