Description:
History of the gun. This gun was purchased new by my stepdad in 1952 for $158.00. He was a cowboy in Montana and this was his horse gun. When i got it handed down to me the blueing was pretty warn off from being in scabbard. He said he didn't shoot the gun much, but did kill a few deer and elk over the years. I decided to have it reblued and do a couple upgrades. I don't have anyone to hand this gun down to and don't shoot it anymore so it's being made available.
About the gun. Pre 64 Featherweight 308. Everything is original as seen in picture. Gun has been reblued. I sweated out the few dings the stock had and refinshed it. Has original metal butt plate. The barrel has been floated and the bore is in bright and shiny condition. I installed a Timney trigger and as you see in the pictures, the original trigger comes with it. Only thing missing is the rear fold down sight, but those are pretty readily available if someone wanted one.
