Description:
This is a beautiful, excellent all-original condition Smith & Wesson Model 632 Centennial Airweight revolver with a 3" inch barrel chambered in .32 H&R Magnum caliber. This VERY lightly-used and high condition Model 632 was made in 1992 and comes complete with the original box and everything it shipped from the factory with. First introduced in 1991 and manufactured for less than 2 years until 1992, this model is quite rare due to the very low production numbers. The double-action only S&W 632 Centennial Airweight is based off of the round-butt J-frame and features stainless steel and aluminum alloy construction, a fully-concealed hammer, a 6-shot fluted cylinder, a 2" or 3" inch barrel, a serrated ramp front sight and fixed notch rear sight, a smooth "combat" trigger, a laser-etched S&W logo on the right side of the frame, a traditional stamped S&W logo on the left side of the frame, and either wood grips (2" barrel) or Uncle Mike's Santoprene grips (3" barrel). A long-proven design, the Model 632 was unique in that the .32 H&R Magnum chambering allowed for an increased cylinder capacity of 6 shots (instead of 5 shots on the .38 caliber models) as well as giving the user multiple ammunition choices as .32 H&R Mag, .32 S&W, .32 S&W Long, or even .32 ACP could be fired in it in a pinch (although the ejector will not properly eject .32 ACP brass reliably). The 2" inch barrel is the most commonly seen model, as the 3" inch barrel option was discontinued in early 1992, prior to the entire model being discontinued. This particular example was made in early 1992 and is the sought-after 3" inch barrel model. It is in excellent condition inside and out, and if it has had more than a handful of cartridges fired thru it we would be very surprised. The stainless steel and alloy components are bright and clean, showing only some tiny handling/storage marks visible only under close inspection. As you can see from the pictures, this Model 632 looks near-pristine and rates 98% plus. There are no bad spots or eyesores that detract from the clean look of this Smith. The bore in the 3" inch barrel is mirror-bright and pristine, with perfect rifling with sharp lands and grooves throughout the barrel. The 6 chambers in the cylinder are equally as clean and perfect. The factory Uncle Mike's Santoprene grips are in excellent condition as well, showing no damage or wear. The checkering is still sharp and there are no tears or chunks missing. The action on this Model 632 is smooth, precise, and perfectly "in time". The cylinder lock-up is superb and all of the controls on this revolver are in perfect working order. This S&W should perform just as well today as the day it left the factory 29 years ago. As mentioned previously, this S&W comes complete with everything it shipped from the factory with including the original box (with intact end-labels serial-numbered to the gun), the owner's manual, warranty cards, assorted pamphlets, the factory cleaning rod kit, the inner cardboard insert, and even the anti-rust shipping paper. If you have been looking for one of these scarce guns in particular, or just for a rare new S&W to add to your collection, this Model 632 Centennial Airweight would be a superb addition. This sought-after S&W should continue to be an excellent long-term investment, and it would be all but impossible to upgrade from this beauty in any respect.
