Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: They do not get any better than this!  This is a spectacular all-original factory Nickel-plated Smith & Wesson Model 10-6 Military & Police Model revolver in .38 Special with a factory 4" heavy barrel.  This M&P 10-6 comes with the original serial-numbered box and everything it originally left the factory with, and has been in storage for the last 50 years since being bought new by the original owner.  The Smith & Wesson Military & Police Model, otherwise known as the Model 10, has been one of Smith & Wesson's most prolific revolvers.  Since first being introduced in 1899, the Military & Police Model has proven itself a superb weapon in every respect, no matter the model variation.  The M&P/Model 10 has always been extremely well-made, simple and robust in design, reliable, and very accurate.  It has been used all over the world by countless police forces, militaries, and civilians alike, used for everything from combat duty to target shooting.  This particular example was manufactured in 1971 and is a Model 10-6 for the 6th engineering change made since adopting the model number 10 designation.  This square-butt K-frame Smith features a spectacular factory Nickel-plated finish, a pinned 4" inch heavy barrel, fixed iron sights, a 6-shot fluted cylinder, a case-colored hammer and trigger, a blued ejector star, and checkered Walnut grips.  As mentioned before, it is in minty like-new condition, and is unfired since leaving the factory.  The factory Nickel finish rates 99% and is bright, clean, and beautiful.  All of the factory markings are crisp and clean, all of the numbered parts match, and the case-colors on the hammer and trigger are bright and like-new.  The bore in this Model 10-6 is mirror-bright and absolutely pristine, free from any pitting, erosion, or visible imperfections of any kind.  The rifling is razor sharp and perfect throughout the barrel.  The 6 chambers in the cylinder are equally as spotless and pristine.  The original factory checkered Walnut grips are in excellent condition, free from any visible wear, handling marks, scratches, dents, chips, or repairs.  The checkered panels on each grip are spotless and crisp, and both S&W medallions are clean and in perfect shape.  The factory hand-tuned action on this M&P revolver is silky-smooth and precise, and it is perfectly "in time" whether it is worked fast or slow, double or single-action.  It really has to be felt to truly be appreciated, especially when compared to to today's regular-production revolvers from S&W.  All of the controls on this revolver are in 100% perfect working order.  In other words, this Smith is just as pristine on the inside as it is on the outside!  As mentioned before, this Model 10-6 comes with the original box complete with the orignal serial-numbered end-label intact, and all of the original contents of the box when it shipped new.  This includes the owner's manual, an S&W ammunition brochure, the warranty card (blank), the factory cleaning rod and brush, and the original anti-rust shipping paper.  This beautiful original S&W M&P Model 10-6 Heavy Barrel .38 Special could not be upgraded in any way, shape, or form.  If you have been looking to add a true "showpiece" Model 10 to your collection, this 1971-production example would be a superb choice.  This S&W is 50 years old and qualifies as a C&R weapon.   SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Handgun Caliber: .38 Special Manufacturer: Smith & Wesson Model: 10-6 Military & Police Model Serial Number: D358977 Barrel Length: 4" Inches Condition: Mint Metal Condition: Mint Wood Condition: Mint Bore Condition: Mint Barrel Type: Heavy Barrel Action: Double-Action / Single-Action Finish: Nickel Sights: Fixed Iron Sights Manufacture Date: 1971 Extras: w/ Original Box, Owner's Manual, Cleaning Kit, Pamphlets, & Anti-rust Paper
