Sharps 3 band New Model 1863 Military Rifle in Excellent condition. These Sharps rifles are much more rare than the Sharps carbines. Only 6,000 of these Model 1863's were made. Serial # properly in the 135,xxx range. Patchbox w/case colors. 30 inch barrels in great condition. Inspector marks present all over this gun. 2 cartouches. Fiery blue on MANY screws. Case colors on the lower tang. Case colors on the left side of the receiver. Case colors on the patch box. Original sights. Original 3 band rings. (clear inspector marks even on some of the bands) Two original sling swivels. The wood is completely untouched and has not been refinished whatsoever - beautiful walnut on both stock and extended fore-end. Fantastic bore. The mechanics are perfect - hammer pulls back cleanly and holds properly in both positions. Excellent trigger. Far and away better than whats typically offered in both condition and price.
