The frame is constructed of lightweight, corrosion resistant aluminum alloy, and the slide is made of steel. The entire pistol is finished in matte black, as well as the checkered polymer grip panels. Several safety devices on the Thunder Semi-Auto Pistol—a manual thumb safety, a firing pin safety, a magazine disconnect, and an integral locking system—minimize the risk of accidental discharge. 3-dot, windage adjustable sights interfere minimally in drawing the pistol from a concealed position.
