Description:
In 1894 Uraguay had some M-71 Mausers converted to 6.5 X 53.5 MM. They were converted by Societe Francaise d'Armes Portatives Saint Denis in France. They were equiped with new barrels,stocks, barrel bands, side mounted cleaning rods and sights. They remained single shot.

Condition-- The bore and action are good. The serial # on the action is weak because of the rework done in France but appears to match the bolt.
