Description:
"Colt New Service .44-40 caliber revolver. Manufactured approximately 1909. Barrel length 7 ½". Bore is very good with deep sharp rifling. Action works perfectly. Gun has an old but good looking blue. We think this gun had some overall surface wear but no pits or abuse and was “dip" blued long ago. The blue has a “rust" blue look more associated with Colts of the 1930’s period. Gun has a fine pair of Colt Medallion Steer Head pearl grips. Left side has a chip at the toe. These grips look great and are factory pearl grips but not original to this gun and do not fit perfectly. Gun comes with a well-used Old West loop holster that came with the gun when we bought it. Very colorful rig.
