Description:
First off, the is a stunningly beautiful gun and a bsrgain. This Winchester model 12 is a high quality reproduction of Winchester model 12's made by Miroku in Japan and is marked Winchester not Browning. Although similar to the Browning reproduction this is actually a Winchester and a nearly exact clone to the ubiqutious and much loved original Winchester Model 12 . An original corect model 12 in 20 ga in ex condition with factory rib would fetch a couple of thousand dollars and a high grade like this if original with engraved receiver and gold enlays would sell for thousands. Finishes, workmanship; blue, wood, checkering, rib and polish are excellent and this gus is offered at a fraction of what a similar original pre 64 M. 12 would be and is inexpensive enough to use in the field without having to worry about hunting marks.
There has been a previous repain to the butt stock in the wrist (pretty well donw) not very noticiable and some light scratching probably from attempts at reassembly on the left side where barrel and receiver meet. These should probably clean up in a moment with a touch of cold blue. Otherwise almost completly free of hanlding, use or hunting marks other wise. Barrel is marked improved cyl but does have one screw in choke tube installed
