Description:
Colt SAA single action Cavalry US marked made in 1878. Inspected by Henry Nettleton. This old gun has seen a long life. The trigger guard, back strap and frame are matching serial numbers with H.N. stamped on trigger guard and back strap. This gun has an upside down US stamp on the frame. Many markings are tough to see, especially the backbstrap is mostly worn. No barrel address markings are visible. This gun was nickeled a couple times and most is gone. Then was gold washed at some point. Remanients of both nickel and gold are seen in various places. Just an old cowboy gun that has made the rounds but it’s a Nettleton at an affordable price.
