FRARY BENHAM & CO. COLT COAT OF ARMS PERCUSSION RIFLE FLASK CIRCA 1855. RAPLEY #F30. Suitable for use with the early First Model 1855 Root Sporting Rifle. Frary Benham & Co. went out of business in New Haven, Conn. in 1855. It’s assets were acquired by American Flask & Cap Co. that produced the flask thereafter. Exceptional condition with much original lacquer. Original rings. Superb “COAT OF ARMS” embossing surmounted by two crossed pistols. Shows almost no wear. Spring missing but easy replacement. Top stamped with maker’s name (FRARY BENHAM & CO.) in a banner. Very rare and only flask known that would be correct for the early First Model Root Sporting rifle.
