Payment Types Accepted: M/C, VISA, American Express and Discover Description: " Very fine flintlock pistol made in the French manner and specifically ""Empire"" fashion with the grip are a 90 degree angle to the barrel. Pistols like this were made during the Napoleonic period. Bore is approximately .60 caliber. Barrels is 6.75"" and is ""swamped"" or slightly flared. Overall length is 11.5"". The barrel has a Liege proof, barely visible, on the left vertical flat at the juncture with the stock. The side plate is typical Empire style and is a drape. The trigger guard and finial are also Empire and in the style of Boutet and Le Page. The frizzen is the roller type which place this pistol in the 1810-1820 period. The barrel has a beautiful Damascus pattern. The stock is finely checkered. Pistol is not marked as the the maker, but most certainly the work of a master!
