Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: This H&R Model 950 has to be the nicest in existence!  Bought new by the original owner in 1980, this revolver was never once carried, fired, or even removed from the box after oiling it the first day.  It is 100% complete with the original box, owner's manual, warranty card, factory pamphlets.  All of the paperwork was still attached to the gun in a bag secured a plastic push-thru tie.  After taking the cover photo we had to use a thin Exacto knife blade to hold open the little prongs of the plastic tie to remove it without breaking anything.  This H&R looks and functions like it shipped from the factory 2 days ago rather than 41 plus years ago!  The double-action/single-action H&R Model 950 revolver was introduced in 1974 and remained in production until 1986.  The double-action/single-action Model 950 revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle featured a factory Nickel-plated finish, a solid frame, a 5.5" inch barrel ,fixed iron sights, a 9-shot fluted cylinder, a side loading port and western-style ejection, and a 1-piece smooth American Walnut grip.  The H&R Model 950 was a moderate success for the firm, as it was a very well-made, reliable, and accurate rimfire revolver.  The additional cost of the Nickel-plating ensured that it would never sell as well as the Model 949.  This particular example is serial number AU183368 made in 1980, and as mentioned before, looks brand-new.  The original factory Nickel finish is spectacular, rating 99% to 100%.  Any miniscule little marks or imperfcetions in the finish were on the gun when it left the factory.  This gun is unfired since leaving the factory, with the face of the cylinder showing only 3 very faint "flash halos" around 3 of the 9 chambers from the 3-shot factory test firing string.  The remaining 6 chambers show ZERO evidence of ever being fired.  The factory 1-piece smooth American Walnut grip is in perfect shape, free from any wear, damage, cracks, chips, or repairs of any kind.  The factory finish on the grip is 100% intact and uniform in color.  The action on this H&R is still very tight but very precise, as it has not even begun to be "broken-in" yet.  This H&R is perfectly "in time" no matter how the gun is operated.  All of the other controls on this Model 950 are 100% in perfect working order as well.  The original box that comes with this revolver still has the original factory end-label intact that is serial-numbered to the gun, and remains in very good condition with only some light storage wear/patina to the exterior.  All of the paperwork that comes with it is in perfect, like-new condition, including the plastic bag it came in and the plastic hanger used to attach it to the triggerguard.  After the pictures were taken of the gun by itself we re-attached the bag and paperwork just as we found it.  Whether you are a serious H&R collector and want the very best Model 950 in existence, or just a shooter/hunter that would like to own a classy vintage .22 caliber pistol in exceptional condition, here is your chance to get the best Harrington & Richardson Model 950 we have had in decades!  You could not upgrade from this example in any category.            SOLD Handgun Caliber: .22 Short, .22 Long, .22 Long Rifle Manufacturer: Harrington & Richardson (H&R) Model: Model 950 (J 95001) Serial Number: AU183368 Barrel Length: 5.5" Inches Condition: Mint Metal Condition: Mint Wood Condition: Mint Bore Condition: Mint Action: Double-Action / Single-Action Finish: Nickel Sights: Fixed Iron Sights Manufacture Date: 1980 Extras: w/ Original Box, Owner's Manual, Warranty Card, & Factory Pamphlets
