Description:
SOLD-Barrel set I: 25 5/8, dual white beads on the raised, flat rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, standard Italian proofs on the flats, gold inlaid Roman numeral "I" on top of the rib at the breech, and improved cylinder/modified chokes.
The receiver and side plates are fully engraved with fine, flowing scroll on the locks, maker's marks in banners, decorative scalloped borders, and a highly detailed deer and hunting dog scene on the underside. With a single trigger and non-automatic tang safety. Checkered forearm with engraved fittings, Anson latch, and straight grip stock with solid rubber Decelerator recoil pad.
Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech.625/.625 inch; minimum wall thickness .026/.025 inch; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches.
Barrel set II: 27 5/8 inches long, numbered to match with gold inlaid "II" on top of the rib at the breech, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, and modified/full chokes.
Condition
Excellent. 99% original bright polished blue finish remains with a few light handling marks and crisp engraving. The wood is also excellent with beautiful, dark streaks, crisp checkering, and small dings mostly on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent. Extra barrel is excellent.
