This is a "GERMANY" marked pistol that has matching numbers on most of the parts (including the grips) with the exception of the firing pin ("14"), and the non-original toggle pin (added because the edges of the pin recess has burrs that will not allow an original pin to sit flush with the receiver). The metal retains 80-85% of an old, added blue finish with some mild silvering along the projecting edges, along the backstrap, and on the bearing surfaces of the toggle. The top of the chamber has had the original American Eagle marking removed, and has some thin, gray metal visible instead. Some faint races of the original straw color remain on the take-down lever, trigger, safety, magazine release, and ejector with the balance of the metal having a speckled gray-black patina. The grip safety is functional, however the spring is no longer present. The checkered walnut grips are in fair shape with lots of flattening of the points and a very small chip missing from just above the magazine release. The unmarked, wood-base magazine is in very good shape, having about 25% of the original nickel plate remaining. This is a handsome pistol, in about good plus overall condition, and would make an economical addition to a collection.
