Description:
PRICE DROP This is a low serial number (4 digit) 5th model saddle ring Burnside carbine. My research of the Springfield Research Service U.S. Martial Arms Serial Number Data places this rifle between 2 rifles attributed to CO B 11th NY Vol. Cav. (Scotts 900) and initials in the stock match a name in that Company. Rifle is in functional condition with light pitting and darker areas of patina on exterior metal parts. Inside of bore shows pitting but rifling is strong. Wood shows it's age with some rough spots, stock has WHM carved into the side in small letters. Action is strong, breech area is in good condition and workable. I have replaced the breech block lever hinge, as the orginal hinge (with SN) was cracked, pivot screw and the lever pin (all parts that were replaced are included with this rifle).
