The Parker is the most noted vintage American double shotgun in the world and has more fans than all the other major makers.  They are wonderful guns with a classic look and were made in  high numbers, about 250,000 guns in all.  When looking for a lightweight Parker for upland birds or a casual day on the sporting clays course you will see the Parker VH 20ga. offered for sale quite often, so they are not a rare gun.  In fact, they made about 10,000 of them in all.  So, how do you know which one to buy.  Some of the Parker guns you see are in quite high condition with special features and price tags to go with them.  But what if you are looking for a great gun to take to the woods, a gun you don’t have to worry about?  You still want to find a reliable gun that hasn’t been abused; a gun with good screws, great barrels that are tight on the breech face with excellent bores, good shootable stock dimensions, and mechanics that are safe and proper.  This Parker, sn213224 made in 1925, is one that was well cared for all its life and is ready for decades of service for its next owner.  This Parker retains all its FACTORY ORIGINAL PARTS, with traces of factory case color, 99% rust blue, excellent screws, excellent bores, and a stock that is factory original ending in a vintage and correct Hawkins ¾” thin butt pad.  THE STOCK HAS NOT BEEN CUT AND WOULD MEASURE 14” WITH A PARKER DOG’S HEAD BUTTPLATE.  WE CAN INSTALL ONE IF YOU WISH.  The wood has excellent checkering, nary a split or crack anywhere, and great shooting dimensions with an older hand-rubbed oil finish.  With factory 26” barrels choked F/F (we can alter the chokes to your desire here in our gunsmithing department within a few days of purchase), weighing 6lbs. and balanced just right between your hands, it is the perfect upland gun that can also knock down some clay targets when asked to do so.  Most Parker 20ga. guns weigh closer to 6 ½ pounds, so this is an exceptionally light Parker 20-gauge gun.  The barrels are tight on the breech face and have tight ribs.  This is a VFI CERTIFIED gun, meaning we stripped the entire action to its smallest part, Ultrasonic cleaned all parts and the action in our Ultrasonic cleaner, brushed all parts shiny clean, inspected all for integrity and function, lubricated and reassembled (a $325 value).  The gun is like new inside with a 90-day mechanical warranty.  THIS IS A GREAT LITTLE PARKER!  All these features come together to make this an investment quality Parker that will continue to gain value as you enjoy its use. There is no rust or pitting on the gun anywhere.  You will not be disappointed in this gun, and it is affordably priced.  It is very difficult to find a Parker with all of these great features combined.  Thanks for looking!
