Description:
This is a very lightly-used Dan Wesson Model 22-V revolver in .22 LR complete with it's original box, owner's manual, assorted factory pamphlets, tool kit, and outer cardboard sleeve.  The Dan Wesson Model 22-V is a large-frame DA/SA .22 caliber revolver that handles and feels like it's .357 Magnum big brother, the Dan Wesson Model 15.  It features a steel construction, a gloss-blue factory finish, a 4" inch removable shrouded vent-rib barrel, a 6-shot fluted cylinder, factory adjustable target sights with a white-outline rear and hi-viz red front blade, a target-style smooth-faced trigger, and a 1-piece checkered Walnut Target-style grip.  The Model 22-V was intended as a target/hunting pistol and was fairly low-production, with nice examples few and far between.  This particular example is 100% original and has not been altered or modified in any way.  The factory gloss-blue finish is still intact and rates 95%, with the deductions coming from some minor handling/storage marks rather than any finish wear from being used.  The bore in the changeable vent-rib barrel is mirror-bright and pristine, as are the 6 chambers in the cylinder.  The factory Target-style grip is in very good condition overall, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major damage.  The only deductions coming from some scattered minor dings/dents.  The checkered panels are still crisp and clean, and the Dan Wesson medallions are still intact and in good shape.  Like the barrel, this grip was designed to be quick-change and can be swapped out with the removal of one hex-head screw thru the butt.  The action on this Model 22-V is in perfect time, and is smooth and slick whether it is worked in double-action or single-action operation.  All of the controls on this wheelgun are in perfect working order, including the adjustable rear sight and the left side-mounted cylinder release just ahead of the cylinder.  This Dan Wesson .22 caliber revolver should function just as reliably and accurately today as it did when it left the factory 40 plus years ago.  As mentioned before, it comes complete with everything it shipped from the factory with including the box with original serial-numbered end label still on it.  Whether you have been looking for one of these hard-to-find Dan Wessons for your collection, or just looking for a full-size revolver in .22 caliber for target practice, plinking, or small game hunting, this Dan Wesson Model 22-V would be a great choice.  With a little effort, additional factory barrels in different lengths could also be found for this gun for even more versatility.
