MANTON PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOL
Nickel silver saw handle with 5 1/4" barrel of approximately 0.47" bore. Marked "MANTON LONDON" on top of barrel. Made circa 1826. An exquisite high quality pistol in excellent condition. It has a captured swiel ramrod(so you don't lose it) and belt clip. The belt clip, ramrod (and swivel), hammer and trigger retain most all of the fire bluing. The barrel has a lovely patina to the Damascence pattern and has Birmingham proofs. The frame is wonderfully engraved in open flowing scroll and also has a Birmingham proof stamp. The hammer and trigger bow are also nicely engraved. A beautiful piece.
