Description:
Webley & Scott .455 Cal, Purchased 24 June 1913, by The Director of Army Contracts, London. This pistol was one of 100 pistols supplied by Webley and Scott for trails by the Royal Horse Artillary. Records indicate 51 pistols were cut for a shoulder stock and 49 were not cut for a shoulder stock. This information was obtained from Arms Research U.K. This pistol is seldom seen in this overall condition. About 85% original blue retained. Shows minimal usage, test fired during trials only. Most are in museums in the U.K., and will never see the light of day. No holster wear on barrel. Pistol has both a hammer safety and a grip safety. This feature is only found on RHA and RFC models.
