Description:
Cutaway is a display pistol that was featured in the 2001 Colt Collectors Show in St. Paul Minnesota.

After the show it was shipped by Colt to Earl Whitney who is a Gun dealer called The Rampant Colt in 2002.

The pistol is named "Cutaway" since it was created as a display pistol intended to show all the inner working pieces of the gun. Cutaway was machined by renowned machinist Rich Stoddard and has amazingly executed engraving completed by Bob Burt and enscripted by George Spring.

Cutaway is machined from mirror like polished nickel with baked accents to highlight the engraving and has a gold hammer, cylinder, trigger, screws and internal working action parts.

It's unique cutaways are on both sides of the pistol frame, the barrel, the cylinder and the stock. All of the inner gold pieces and the screws are all "indexed" with horizontal alignment.

This highly collectible  "Package" includes "Cutaway" the pistol, original display case with stand, an original engraved plaque that describes the pistol and its significant details of its manufacture, the original box with corresponding serial number, copy of the letter of authenticity from Colt, a signed copy of the Federal Firearms License from Earl Whitney.
