Originally sold by Sears as the J.C. Higgins Model 88, this .22 High Standard Sentinel Revolver is a 9-shot with a non-slip scored trigger, diamond-checkered grip and a high-tensile carbon steel barrel. It became popular for its comfortable grip and thumb rest built into the frame behind the cylinder on either side. This revolver is part of the R-101 series of 1956, with an improved hammer and trigger function from that of previous models.
