This is a really cool and unique Winchester Model 1873 Rifle, This is the first Winchester Ive seen with an image inlaid in the stock. Ive only seen 1 other gun in general with an image inlaid in the stock and it sold for $16,000 at , it was a half stock with an image depicting a soldier. This image inlaid in the stock of this winchester is a daguerreotype that depicts an older lady. Unfortunately no ID is known. This Winchester was manufactured in 1880. Mechancially works but is a bit sticky at times. The barrel has been period shortened to just about 20". No rear sight. 44-40 Caliber, if only this one could talk. A really unique Winchester!
