Description:
On Hold Sale Pending Circa 1840-1850 double barrel 12 gauge shotgun by J Manton of London in great condition.  Both functioning locks are marked J Manton and the top of the barrel is marked Fine London Twist. Barrel, locks, but plate and trigger gaurd retain most a older reblue finnish (I assume reblue due to the fine condition).  The wood stock I think may be mahogany and is in fine with a small patch box and a finely checkered wrist. The lock, hammers and trigger guard are engraved.  A nice ramrod is also present.  This antique shotgun is in excellent condition and would be a beautiful hanging over the fire place.  Shipping will be actual cost approximately 50.00.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.  On Hold Sale Pending
